Description
A Bauk is a hulking creature from Slavic mythology. Covered in fur all across their bodies, they appear very bestial apart from a humanoid head with eyes that glow in the dark and a wide maw of sharp teeth used to rend prey. It is believed the myth stemmed from a misunderstanding of bears after encountering them for the first time.
They hide away in dark places like caves and pits, or in abandon ruins, and await their prey. When they find a creature they want to eat, they will stalk it until the chance is right to grab it and carry it off to be devoured. The Bauk is frightened by bright light and loud noises, so being subject to extensive amounts of radiant or thunder damage may cause the Bauk to flee the fight before it can acquire its prey.
