Traits

Standing Leap. The abberulette's long jump is up to 30 feet and its high jump is up to 15 feet, with or without a running start.

Gargantuan Maw. The abberulettes mouth is massive, lined with jagged broken bones, gnarled misshapen teeth, and strange writhing bloodied tentacles - more than half of it's body is it's mouth now, becoming a terrifying meat grinder of a creature. Whenever a creature makes a melee attack on the abberulette, if the attack misses by 5 or more, that creature must make a dexterity saving throw (DC = 10 + proficiency bonus + 1 of the creature) or take 40 (4d12+5) piercing damage. 

Siphoning Essence. When a creature that is swallowed by the abberulette dies, the abberulette regains equal to half the HP rounded down of the creature that died. If the creatures corpse resides in the abberulette for more than 24 hours, it dissolves completely, as well as any of the non-magical items that creature was carrying - any magical items are spit up by the abberulette at the end of the 24th hour. 

Actions

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 30 (4d12 + 5) piercing damage. If target is a large or smaller creature, the target is swallowed. Creatures swallowed are blindedgrappled, and restrained, and take (6d6) piercing damage and (3d6) acid damage at the start of each of the abberulettes turns. If the abberulette takes 50 or more damage in a single turn, it must make a DC 15 constitution saving throw, or spit up any creatures swallowed on the ground 5 feet in front of it. Creatures spit up up exit the abberulette prone. If the abberulette dies while a creature is swallowed, that creature exits the abberulette prone within 5 feet of it. 

Deadly Leap. If the abberulette jumps at least 15 feet as part of its movement, it can then use this action to land on its feet in a space that contains one or more other creatures. Each of those creatures must succeed on a DC 18 Strength or Dexterity saving throw (target's choice) or be knocked prone and take 14 (3d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage plus 14 (3d6 + 5) slashing damage. On a successful save, the creature takes only half the damage, isn't knocked prone, and is pushed 5 feet out of the abberulette's space into an unoccupied space of the creature's choice. If no unoccupied space is within range, the creature instead falls prone in the abberulette's space.

Reactions

Aggressive Hunger. The strange tentacles in the abberulettes mouth act as a dozen limb-like, adhesive tongues. When a creature makes a ranged attack on the abberulette, if that creature is within 30 feet of the abberulette, the abberulette can use it's reaction to shoot one of these tongues at the creature. The creature must succeed on a DC 17 dexterity saving throw, or become grappled, and get pulled 30 feet towards the abberulette. A creature grappled by the abberulette can use its action to attempt to escape (DC 17 strength saving throw).
