Traits

Keen Smell. The bear has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

Charge. If the Warbear makes a dash and goes into the same square(or hex) as another creature, it must make either a DC14 Dex saving throw or a DC 18 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 12 (2d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage and gets knocked prone, and the bear can keep making it's dash. On a successful strength save, the bear stops the dash and gets pushed 5 ft away.

Actions

Multiattack. The bear makes two attacks: one with its bite and either a takedown or a claw.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 21 (2d10 + 10) piercing damage.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 28 (4d8 + 10) slashing damage.

Takedown. If the target is large or smaller, it must make a DC18 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 12 (2d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage and gets knocked prone.

Description

War bears are big, tough and mighty bears who fight in wars, serving either as steeds or as heavy armoured tanks. Mostly used by bearfolk, they are trained from their youngest age until being assigned their new master, where they shall be with each other until their deaths. The two need to create a powerful bond with each other if they want to survive, and they can rely on one another to protect them in battle. The warbear is probably one of the most powerful steeds in combat, but elsewhere, not really. Even without speed and agility, they are still capable of defeating any foes standing in their way.
