Standing Leap. The giant skitter's long jump is up to 120 feet and its high jump is up to 60 feet without a running start.

Unrelenting. Skitters will continue to attack in waves as long as their is prey available to feast on. Skitters do not attack in swarms. Each skitter will attack a single medium size creature. For each size above medium, an additional skitter can join in the feasting of the larger prey. 

Fear of Fire. They are particularly susceptible to fire (fire vulnerability). Skitters will not attack someone holding a flame and will run from fire. Large fires will keep them at bay. 

Actions

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) piercing damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 11). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the skitter can't bite another target.

Restoring Infusion. At the end of each turn that the Skitter is latched onto a creature, the Skitter heals equal to the half of the damage it dealt that round. 

 

Description

Giant skitters are as big as a medium size dog, but not nearly as cute.

Their two foot-long outer stylets pierce the skin. Once the skin is pierced, the Giant Skitter locks a third stylet into the victim and draws up the blood from it captive, restoring its health as it drains its captive. Once latched onto a creature, the Giant Skitter cannot attack anyone else.
