Description

An aérylle is a courageous avian carnivore with the lithe and dynamic body of an eagle, but is quadrupedal. They prefer to use their agility and speed to hunt, but do not back down when threatened.

Their feathers on their limbs and chests are fluffy, and they have tail feathers nearly as long as their bodies, which they use to aid in balance and maneuvering in the air. An aérylle's feathers are usually white or cloud-coloured: stormy greys, silver, snowy, and so on; aérylle from more arid regions are seen to have more sandy-colored feathers. They stand around 24 to 27 inches tall, and their bodies measure 32 to 38 inches long. They weigh around 19 to 25 pounds; overall, females are larger in size.

They are social creatures and care greatly for their young, with both parents helping to raise the child. They are not migratory, but have large home ranges which may shrink, expand, or shift slightly, depending on the climate and food available.

While it is a known fact that aérylles are properly classified as a Monstrosity, they have adapted so well that they in effect function as a natural Beast.
