Angelic Wings of the Clouds. The Astral Sky Whale's wings are used for orientation as well as magical attacks. When the Astral Sky Whale hits with its wings, the wings deal  an extra 1d8 radiant damage (included in the attack)

Astral Pod Tactics. The Astral Sky Whale has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the family pod allies is within 30ft of it.

Magic Resistance. The Astral Sky Whale has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Astral Entity. The Astral Sky Whale can leave the Astral Plane on its own regard, it cannot be banished or otherwise transported out of the Astral Plane.

Friendly Telepathy. Using telepathy, the Sky Whale can magically communicate with any other creature within 120 feet of it, in the creatures language.

Astral Dread Ping. Astral Sky Whale will ping other sky whales within a 10,000ft radius to alert them of possible astral dreadnoughts position.

Dream-planar Dungeon. Any creature or object that the Astral Sky Whale swallows is transported to a 'demi dream plane' that can be entered and exited by no other than a joint agreement telepathically made between the Sky Whale. The demiplane resembles a stone cave roughly 1,000 feet in diameter with a ceiling 100 feet high an open void-like sphere, which is the entrance sitting on the North edge of the cave.

An example: Githyanki Sky Raiders use the portal to this demi-dream plane, as a Trojan Horse in the Gith Civil War to provide troops in mass. The dreadnought can't be harmed from within the demiplane.

If the Astral Sky Whale dies, the demi dream plane disappears, and everything inside it appears around the corpse. The demiplane is otherwise indestructible

Description

Bigger than "Astral Sky Sharks" these 'Sky Whales' are not to be confused with Astral Dreadnoughts. With their very nature being more kind to humanoid-like creatures. They have been domesticated by 'Githyanki Sky Raiders' since the 'Proclamation of Two Skies.'

Used for traveling purposes by Githyanki and Gith counterparts (githzerai) for anything from Pirate Raids, Public Transportation, and a 'trojan horse' like mechanism in the raids of Astral cities.

The Astral Sky Whale inhabits the open planes of the Astral Plane in regions between 'Law and Chaos' of the positive planes.

As a creature native to the Astral Plane, and a distant cousin of the Astral Dreadnought. The speed of this creature bypasses the use of 'Intelligence score' when considering its speed inside the Astral Plane.

They gather in groups of 5-10 in the 'Floating Astral Reefs' for gatherings in these small pods to hunt, aid, and begin Mating routines.

This Herbivore does not have to eat but can enjoy the bounties of different flora among the different Astral Planar dimensions.

With a Blindsight of 300ft, an 'Astral Sky Whale' will ping other sky whales within a 10,000ft radius to alert them of possible 'Astral Dreadnoughts' position.

A full-grown specimen measures 30-40ft in length.

To some Githyanki & Githzerai scholars, these Sky Whales are distant cousins of the 'Astral Dreadnought' and was thought to have come into existence by some type of Elysium deity, thought to be known as "Lathander" this is only for speculation purposes as Sky Whales seem to charismatically respond to humanoid-like creatures to aid against Tharizdun's dreadnoughts. It was said by Gith culture that after the 'Pronouncement of Two Skies' that segregated the Githyanki and Githzerai cultures, an extraordinarily bright light blinded the eyes of many Gith for what seemed like an endless amount of time, in a timeless place. As if the morning light from the prime material plane was shining thru the divine gates and into the Astral Sea. After that time these magnificently kind creatures showed up on the doorstep of Tu'narath. The acquirement of these creatures has aided in the Gith Civil War for several hundreds of decades and has allowed for an easement of travel of other intra-planar Humanoids, horizon walkers, and warriors of planar dimensions. The fact that an Elysium deity would allow such a creature to exist means that the effects of Astral Dreadnoughts on the Astral Sea by Tharizdun have given both an extremely chaotic and dangerous effect to all planes in the Astra Sea, both Positive, Negative, and possibly the Outer Planes. Rather this is of Lawful or Anti-Chaotic intent, they exist, armored, and in numbers shockingly matching that of Dreadnoughts themselves.
