Pack Leader. An Alpha-Model tends to be accompanied by a group of Beta-Models. Usually between 4 and 100.
Core. Alpha-Models can only be destroyed be slashing/piercing the core located inside their body. Cutting a limb off has no effect, as it will regrow in seconds depending on the womb. The core can be located anywhere in the body (DMs Discretion) and once it is destroyed, the Alpha-Model will lose it's form and become a pile off ooze. However, unlike the Beta-Models, the core moves rapidly around the creatures body. Every round of combat, the DM decides where the core is throughout that round, and it will only be destroyed once a player guesses/senses the location.
Multiattack. The Alpha-Model can use its Frightful Presence. It then makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d10 + 6) piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) poison damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 6) slashing damage.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage.
Frightful Presence. Each creature of the Alpha-Models choice that is within 120 feet of the dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the Alpha-Models Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.
Absorb. If the Beta model has eyes on any projectile flying towards it (e.g. bullet, arrow, spear) it can activate absorb. The projectile will sink into the Beta-Models body and disintegrate rapidly. They will take zero damage.
Description
Alpha-Models can appear as any creature, the most popular being an adult green dragon. Players must have a passive perception of at least 19 to notice.
