Fear of Fire. If the monkey squirrel takes fire damage, it has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks until the end of its next turn.
Keen Smell. The monkey squirrel has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Forest Camouflage. The monkey squirrel has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in forest terrain.
Multiattack. The monkey squirrel can use one claw and one bite attack.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 3) slashing damage.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage.
Steal trinkets. As an Action, the monkey squirrel can choose to make up to three (Sleight of Hand) checks to steal any small object being worn or held by a creature (opposed by the creature's passive perception). The monkey squirrel chooses the highest of the three rolls. It rolls with Disadvantage if the creature is aware of the monkey squirrel's location.
Call for Help (Recharge 6). If the monkey squirrel feels its life is in danger, it can choose to call for help as a last ditch effort to survive. It exhales a loud high pitched screech that can be heard up to 200 feet away . Each creature that isn't a monkey squirrel in that area must make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw, or be deafened for 1 minute. Any monkey squirrels within 200 feet will be compelled to come and defend their kin.
Description
The seemingly gentle monkey squirrels are primarily found in the Valley of Hearthglen, a maple forest in the western region of Falcon's Rest where they are heard for miles around as they swing and play amongst the maple trees. It is common for travelers to encounter the monkey squirrels while camping at night, although they only realize their existence after having items stolen by the creatures.
Their big wooly tufts of orange and red fur cover a grinning pale face with two long sharp teeth sticking out from their lips. Large bushy tails swing back and forth as many of them wear circlets, tiaras, or jeweled helmets, hats, and headdresses that they've stolen from unsuspecting travelers.
