Traits

Amphibious. The Seabreeze Dragon can breathe air and water.

Master of the Sea. The Seabreeze Dragon can command and communicate telepathically with beasts that can breathe water.

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Actions

Multiattack. The dragon can use its Illustrious Presence. It then makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d10 + 6) piercing damage plus 4 (1d8) cold damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 6) slashing damage.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d8 + 6) bludgeoning damage.

Illustrious Presence. Each creature of the dragon's choice that is within 120 feet of the dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or become Charmed for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the dragon's Illustrious Presence for the next 24 hours.

Glitter Breath (Recharge 5–6). The dragon exhales a sparkling blast in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw, taking 54 (12d8) radiant damage and become sparkly. For 1 minute, or until an action is taken to wash the glitter off in water, objects and affected creatures shed dim light in a 10-foot radius. Any attack roll against an affected creature or object has advantage if the attacker can see it, and the affected creature or object can’t benefit from being invisible.

On a successful save, take half damage and do not suffer the effects of glitter breath.

Legendary Actions

The dragon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Detect. The dragon makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.

Tail Attack. The dragon makes a tail attack.

Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions). The dragon beats its wings. Each creature within 10 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 19 Dexterity saving throw or take 13 (2d6 + 6) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. The dragon can then fly up to half its flying speed.

Description

A Seabreeze Dragon is generally a colorful mix of white, teal, and pink. A Seabreeze Dragon's horde will include figureheads and treasure from ships they have sunk, massive seashells and pearls, and of course gold. Seabreeze Dragons are very charismatic and will spin tales of their adventures and speak highly of themselves if given the opportunity (And the fish have heard it a few times already). Any sign of impatience, interruption, or a lack of appropriate awe will result in destruction.

Seabreeze Dragons are very touchy about their tendency to horde. They believe themselves to be thrifty and sensible. They are more likely to strike deals than their counterparts, however, their patience will disappear quickly if they believe they are being taken advantage of, or not being appropriately pandered to.

Their pride is wrapped up in what they believe to be a carefully curated collection of items and trophies, and their own beauty. A Seabreeze Dragon will likely have a favorite seashell or pearl that is displayed more prominently than their other items.

Lair and Lair Actions

A Seabreeze Dragon’s Lair

Seabreeze Dragons settle in secluded coastal areas rich with coastal life. They favor coastal caves accessible only by swimming, or beaches hidden from plain view, such as distant island or in a valley.

A legendary Seabreeze Dragon’s innate magic causes sea creatures and aquatic life to flourish around its lair. The walls will be covered with seaweed and the waters surrounding the lair will be rich with colorful aquatic life. A Seabreeze Dragon detects intruders by its telepathic communication with aquatic life.

Lair Actions

On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), the dragon takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; the dragon can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:

  • A dangerous floor of coral fills a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on a point the dragon can see within 120 feet of it. This area is rough terrain. Starting a turn in this area deals 4d8 poison damage to non-aquatic life. This area persists until the dragon moves it or the dragon is killed.
  • 1d8+1 Giant Crabs are summoned to the battle from the water.
  • The dragon creates a tidal wave. 30 feet long, up to 10 feet wide, and up to 10 feet tall. Each non-aquatic creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 4d8 bludgeoning damage and is knocked prone. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and isn’t knocked prone. The water then spreads out across the ground in all directions, extinguishing unprotected flames in its area and within 30 feet of it, and then it vanishes.

Regional Effects

The region containing a legendary white dragon’s lair is warped by the dragon’s magic, which creates one or more of the following effects:

  • There are mysterious sightings at sea in the 20 miles surrounding the lair, including merfolk and ghosts.
  • Aquatic life flourishes within 6 miles of the dragon’s lair. Colorful schools of fish and beautiful coral reefs can be found.
  • Storms are much more common within 20 miles of the area.

If the dragon dies, the area returns to normal after 20 days
