Undead Fortitude. If damage reduces the hag to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 5 + the damage taken, unless the damage is radiant or from a critical hit. On a success, the hag drops to 1 hit point instead.
Innate Spellcasting. The hag's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 14). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components.
At will: dancing lights, disguise self, minor illusion, vicious mockery (as 5th-level spellcaster)
1/day: animate dead (as 5th level spell)
Multiattack. The hag makes two rotting claw attacks. Either attack can be replaced with a spell the hag can cast at will.
Rotting Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d8 + 2) slashing damage and 6 (1d12) necrotic damage.
Horrifying Visage. Each non-undead creature within 60 ft of the hag that can see her must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be frightened for 1 minute. A frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, with disadvantage if the hag is within line of sight, ending the effect on itself with a success. If a target's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the target is immune to the banshee's Horrifying Visage for the next 24 hours.
Description
This unique breed of hag adapted to living in the deep and the Hallows. They have turned themselves into undead beings capable of raising corpses and skeletons to do their bidding and often make their homes around tar pits, graveyards, or other places with many corpses to use as servants and bodyguards. They are completely inured to the emotions death causes, but take joy in the horror, sadness, and disgust that death evokes in other beings.
Mocking Gravewardens
The bone hags have no respect for the dead, and no emotional reaction to it. However, they take great joy in causing fear, pain, and sorrow in those who do have such reactions to it. They will often create illusions of dead loved ones, raise the dead as zombies as a bargaining chip, or horrify opponents with their own rotting visage.
Spreaders of Hate
Bone hags are hateful beings, and they wish other creatures to be as hateful as them. They attempt to turn villagers against each other by grave robbing, murdering, and doing other death-related crimes, then planting false clues that cause villagers to turn against each other. After the deeds are done, bone hags sit back and watch the village descend into hate and chaos, before going in herself to take down the remaining survivors and convert the dead residents into undead servants.
Horrid Lairs
Bone hags make their lairs in strange, haunted places where many died. They carve their homes out of rocks, trees, bones, or hills to look like skulls and bones. They make their homes on battlefields, in graveyards, by tar pits, or in other areas where many were slaughtered or died. They also enjoy making their homes near apex predators who leave many remains that can be turned into undead, preferring those who leave only the bones, such as gelatinous cubes or assassin vines.
Undead Nature
A bone hag doesn’t require air, food, drink, or sleep.
