Traits

Vacuous Cloak. The voidcrawler has one the strongest links to the cosmos among its brethren. It is surrounded by a thin vacuum, muting the sounds it generates and making it impossibly cold to the touch. The voidcrawler has advantage on stealth checks and any creature grappling with it takes 8 (2d6) cold damage at the start of its turn.

Magic Resistance. The voidcrawler has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack. The voidcrawler makes four Pincer attacks.

Pincer. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: 9 (1d8 + 4) piercing damage and 8 (2d6) cold damage plus grapple. The voidcrawler can only grapple one target at a time.

Join the Void. The voidcrawler connects to the void of space and uses its body as a portal to the infinite. A target grappled by the voidcrawler must make a DC 16 charisma saving throw or be teleported to outer space, where they are savaged by the empty vacuum. At the start of its next turn the target suffers 80 (20d6) cold damage and is then teleported back to a space within 10ft. of the voidcralwer, no longer grappled.

Description

These silent centipede like shadows are the primary guard dogs of the denizens of the void. Uninterested in the long term, voidcrawlers spread the gospel of non-existence by simply destroying life wherever they come across it. Their more farsighted brethren often reign them in when needed, or will place them in remote locations surrounding items valuable to the cause, allowing them to run rampant on unfortunate trespassers. Naturally any sane man would go very far out of his way to avoid an encounter, but the gem the makes up the creatures singular eye is a prized jewel said to allow for travel in the void, and greed often outweighs fear.
