Amphibious. The aboleth can breathe air and water.
Spider Climb. The aboleth can climb slimy surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Mucous Presence. The aboleth befouls any pool of water they occupy, causing the waters to become black, brackish and slimy. This effect can extend as far as about 1 mile of the aboleth if it stays in the pool of water for at least 24 hours. Attempting to drink water from such a pool results in violent vomitting.
Multiattack. The aboleth makes two attacks: one with its tentacles and one with its bite.
Tentacles. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 6 (1d4 + 4) poison damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute. Until this poison ends, the target is paralyzed. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the poison on itself on a success.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d4 + 4) piercing damage.
Description
An aboleth elver is a young aboleth that is still not fully developed. Like its parent, it has a befouling effect on water in a wide radius, along with limited telepathic powers. An aboleth elver is unable to dominate minds of other creatures as of yet, and rely on their poisonous tentacles for defense. They have insect-like legs which are abandoned upon evolving into their adult state. Despite their young age, the elver, just like any other aboleth, share the combined memories of their race, making them incredibly knowledgeable about many topics. Sadly, they are too mad and bloodthirsty to share such knowledge with others.
