Amphibious. Alatreon can breathe air and water.
Alatreon Divinity. Upon casting a spell, Alatreon gains immunity to the damage type of the spell cast and changes the elemental damage type of his gore, claw, and Escaton Judgement attacks. When another spell is cast that deals a different elemental damage type, Alatreons immunity changes to the corresponding damage type.

If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 24 Strength saving throw or be pushed up to 10 feet away and knocked prone.
God of Elemental Destruction (Mythic Trait; Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). When Alatreon is reduced to 0 hit points, it doesn’t die or fall unconscious. Instead, it regains 615 (30d20 + 300) hit points, and elemental energy surrounds him causing any creature who starts their turn within 10 feet of Alatreon to take 11 (3d6) elemental damage corresponding to immunity. In addition, Alatreon gains 5 legendary actions to use per round instead of the usual 3, and regains all uses of legendary resistance.

At Will: Call Lightning, Ice Storm, Staggering Smite, Wall of Fire

Fire Breath (Recharge 5–6). Alatreon exhales fire in a 90-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 23 Dexterity saving throw, taking 99 (18d10) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Alatreon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Alatreon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Description
From Alatreon living isolated from all other monsters, it is hard to say where it fits in the ecological niche. Due to Alatreon living in the Sacred Land, it has changed the area into an inhospitable environment. No living things, including plants, can live in the area due to the constant weather changes that occur in the Sacred Land. However, given its power, it is safe to say that Alatreon stands near the pinnacle of life itself.
With the research documents of this creature being burned for unknown reasons, Alatreon's entire existence continues to be a mystery. The behavior of Alatreon within the New World puts more questions on the table regarding the monster as it decided to nest within a region where Safi'jiiva is currently nesting. This raises the question of why doesn't the Red Dragon seem to have taken any offense to its presence? Some scholars suggest that the two Elder Dragons are connected somehow.
Behavior
Alatreon are monsters capable of destroying the world. Some locals even believe that the Alatreon is a god or demon which is transformed into an Elder Dragon.
The Alatreon that arrived in the New World was a curious specimen as the records that escaped burning showed that this monster would prefer to live its life in isolation. However, the Alatreon in the New World stayed within an area already occupied by another powerful monster. The purpose of its presence remains unknown, but the commission's encounter solidified what little was known beforehand.
Instantly aggressive, upon sensing intruders, the Alatreon displayed both its legendary destructive tendencies by setting the previously frozen area ablaze, as well as a startling degree of deliberation, almost unbefitting of such a savage creature. Again, the Alatreon's reason for desolating the already frozen landscape is put up to question, as the previous inhabitant's leftovers were long since frozen by Alatreon itself. Thus, its seemingly unnecessary rampage against its lifeless surroundings, spurned by the presence of the commission, as well as its cool regarding of said commission can only be explained by the posturing an immense intelligence, bordering on sentience.
Despite this immense intelligence, Alatreon's aggression matches even that, and both showed aplenty in combat. While engaging the commission, its strikes are both brutally strong, ceaseless, and insidiously placed. Indeed, while its shape and abilities resembles that of its Elder Dragon brethren, its aggression and behavioural patterns are closer to that of a particularly intelligent Rajang. Between its rapid charges, unexpectedly swift acrobatics and aggressive repositioning, Alatreon embodies the concept of fierce intelligence.
Lair and Lair Actions
Alatreon dwells beyond the frayed edges of civilization. His lair is inside isolated volcanic caverns or the crushing depths of the ocean, where precious little life is able to survive. Its current lair is the husk of Safi'jiivas nest, where Alatreon has burned away Xeno'jiiva eggsacs and remnants of shed skin.
Lair Actions
On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Alatreon takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; Alatreon can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Objects that aren't being worn or carried within 120 feet of a point Alatreon can see catch fire as the temperature in the area spikes. Any creature in the area must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or suffer one point of exhaustion.
- Unstable elemental energies casue six 20 foot tall, 5-foot-radius spires to form in the air and crash into the ground. Any creatures in the area where these spires fall must succeed on a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw or take 15 (4d6) points of bludgeoning damage plus 15 (4d6) points of cold damage. All creatures that are not Alatreon and do not have resitance to cold damage have their movement speed reduced by 10 feet.
- A thunder crack emenates out from Alatreon to a range of 300 feet. All creatures in the are must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw, any creatures that fail are deafened. At the end of each of its turns, the creature can make a Constitution saving throw. On a success, the effect ends.
Regional Effects
The region containing Alatreons lair is warped by his presence, which creates one or more of the following effects:
- The land within 6 miles of the lair is unfit for life, only the hardiest creatures can survive in it and plant life is incredibly sparse.
- The climate and weather shifts from scorching sunlight to heavy snowfall, biting winds, and thunderous storms constantly within 6 mile of the lair.
- Within 1 mile of the lair, fires start spontaneously and blizzards build up multiple feet of snow in minutes. Chaotic weather is even more extreme.
Alatreon is incredibly protective of his seclusion, and attacks any life capable of surviving in his territory with absolute impunity. The corpses of trespassers are left to rot, as there are no beasts or monsters within a close enough vicinity of the lair to scavenge the remains.
