Description
The secrets of creating [Tooltip Not Found] lay solely within the realm of the Demon Queen of Spiders, Lloth as punishment for Drow who disappoint her. However, Drow spellcasters have been able to enact a similar transformation on the giant mushrooms that pepper the Underdark, transforming them into fungal crawlers. A twisted monstrosity of plant matter with twitching arachnid features, the fungal crawler is a living weapon created to patrol the lands occupied by the dark elves. The spores of a fungal crawler are overly active and will embed themselves in any living tissue, growing small mushrooms on the poor creature's skin, torturing them with a racking pain. The flammable nature of the mushrooms are often weaponized by Drow mages and clerics that often accompany them, using them to light their opponents ablaze.
Fungal crawlers are often seen with an accompanying Drow contingent, or traveling in groups of 2-4 as sentries. When grouped together, the fungal crawlers will often pepper the battlefield with clouds of the fast acting spores, and tear apart their foes.
