Arcane Augmentation

You have a limited well of Arcana points that you can draw on to augment yourself in various ways. Once you expend all available Arcana points, you must finish a long rest to replenish them all or take a short rest to regain a number of Arcana points equal to your proficiency bonus.

Your character's base Arcana points will always be 4 x your character level.


Amplify:
On your turn, you can expend 1 Arcana point to:

  • When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack from an Arcane weapon, you can expend one Arcana point to deal Arcane damage to the target, in addition to the weapon’s damage. The extra damage is 2d8 for the first Arcana point used, plus 1d8 for each arcana spent beyond the first, to a maximum of 5d8.

Arcane Weapon Mastery

On your turn, when you score a critical hit with a melee weapon or reduce a creature to 0 hit points with one, you can make one melee weapon attack as a bonus action.

Arcane Bulwark: On your turn, you can expend 2 Arcana points as a standard action to create an invisible arcane shield around your body. It grants the following effects:

  • Add your proficiency bonus to your AC. This bonus stacks with other armor bonuses.
  • Gain 5 temporary hit points per half your character level rounded up.
  • If a creature hits you with a melee attack while you have temporary hit points created by Bulwark, that creature takes 5 arcane damage per half your character level rounded up.

The duration of Bulwark is 8 hours, and every use of Bulwark resets the duration to 8 hours.

Bonus Actions

Arcane Arsenal

As a bonus action, you summon an arcane melee weapon that appears in your hand(s). As a bonus action you can change your current weapon to a thrown weapon, and vice versa.


Bolster:
On your turn, as a bonus action you can expend 2 Arcana points to gain the following effects from Bolster:

  • Add your proficiency bonus to your Athletics skill.
  • Add your proficiency bonus x 5 to your movement speed.
  • Increase your unarmed damage dice from 1d6 to 1d8 and your fists become Arcane weapons. You cannot wield any other Arcane melee weapons while Bolster is active.
  • Gain resistance to physical damage types.

The duration of Bolster is 1 minute.
