Keen Smell. The armored bear has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Mystic Armor. The armored bear is endowed with mystical plate mail barding that grants it several defensive advantages:
Improved Armor Class. The bear's mystic armor grants a +1 bonus to armor class.
Magic Resistance. The bear's mystic armor grants them advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Damage Resistance. Additionally, the armor grants resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
Multiattack. The armored bear makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws. If both claw attacks hit a Large or smaller creature, the target takes an additional 17 (3d6 + 7) slashing damage and must succeed on a DC 19 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d8 + 7) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d6 + 7) slashing damage.
Description
From time to time, and generally for a specific purpose, the souls of fallen warriors are sometimes sent back from Valhalla to inhabit the bodies of mighty bears. When this happens, the bears are awakened, and a portion of the warriors soul forms into a mystical suit of unbreakable plate barding. This armor cannot be removed, and is a permanently attuned magic item. Should the armored bear die, the armor fades as the soul returns to Valhalla.
