Backwards Man

Backwards men are hateful abominations that exist only to cause mayhem. Their name is derived from the fact that they resemble naked, wrinkly old men, with one key exception: their heads are twisted all the way around, so as to look forward from their back. Rather than stand, they scuttle about like crabs on their backwards hands and feet. While their true origins are unclear, common folk believe that a child abandoned by its mother will be transformed into a backwards man by the trauma.

Cruel Stalkers. Backwards men like to toy with their victims before attacking them. After staking out their prey's dwelling place, they use their natural stealth to steal small objects from their victims at random, perhaps allowing themselves to be seen in the distance before vanishing from sight. After that, they invisibly trespass in the victim's home, rearranging the furniture and stealing valuables. The backwards man torments its victim at night by creating strange, ghostly sounds. They then turn violent, killing pets or livestock and destroying food stores. Finally, the backwards man kills its victim, usually offering a few moments of false hope it proceeds to quash.

Tentacled Tongues. The tongue of a backwards man resembles a barbed tentacle with an inexplicably nauseating purple hue. These tentacles can be up to ten feet long and are capable of latching onto and restraining their targets. Worse, slashing or stabbing a backwards man causes an additional tentacle to shoot out from the wound. A slain backwards man explodes into a disgusting mass of tentacles. This explosion deals no damage, though squeamish creatures might find themselves mentally scarred by the experience.

Violently Misogynist. While backwards men are senselessly cruel predators by nature, they despise women with an unthinking hatred that supersedes all other things. A backwards man will always choose to prey upon a woman if given the chance. The reason for this blind and unthinking animosity is unknown.
