Description
Weeping angels are Seraphs that disobeyed the orders of the Archangels or other powerful beings on the Upper Plane, who have been cast to the Material Plane and turned to stone. In shame of their actions, these creatures spend most of their time lying in wait for a new victim, using their stone-like appearance to the fullest by disguising themselves as religious statues with their hands covering their eyes. However, since their exile, most weeping angels have been driven to madness, who now bring themselves to corrupting the Material Plane that they once stood watch over. Tales say that the weeping angels have a covert agenda to find a way back into the Upper Plane to take back their places among their fellow celestials by dark and evil means, but no plot has ever been revealed by any researcher or observer who dares venture close to a weeping angel.
