Traits

Dark Scales. The Bat-Winged Night Wyvern has advantage on any Dexterity (Stealth) checks made in dim light or darkness.

Master of Fear. The Bat-Winged Night Wyvern has advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks in areas of dim light or darkness. In addition, the Bat-Winged Night Wyvern has advantage on saving throws against being Frightened.

Assassinate. During its first turn, the Bat-Winged Night Wyvern has advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn't taken a turn. Any hit the Bat-Winged Night Wyvern scores against a surprised creature is a critical hit.

Evasion. If the Bat-Winged Night Wyvern is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, the Bat-Winged Night Wyvern instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails.

Sneak Attack (1/Turn). The Bat-Winged Night Wyvern deals an extra 14 (4d6) damage when it hits a target with a weapon attack and has advantage on the attack roll, or when the target is within 5 feet of an ally of the Bat-Winged Night Wyvern that isn't incapacitated and the Bat-Winged Night Wyvern doesn't have disadvantage on the attack roll.

Cunning Action. The Bat-Winged Night Wyvern can take the Disengage, Dash or Hide action as a bonus action on each of its turns.

Actions

Multiattack. The Bat-Winged Night Wyvern can use its Scare Tactics. Whilst flying, it then makes two attacks: one with its bite, one with its claws. Whilst on the ground, it then makes one bite attack and one tail attack.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) piercing damage.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) slashing damage.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) bludgeoning damage.

Scare Tactics. The Bat-Winged Night Wyvern targets one creature it can see within 120 feet of it. The creature must succeed on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the Bat-Winged Night Wyvern's Fear Tactics for the next 24 hours.
If the creature can see an ally that is frightened of the Bat-Winged Night Wyvern, it makes the saving throw at disadvantage.

Description

Do not be fooled, that species of Wyvern may pale phsycially to the might of other dragons but I've seen one take down an Adult Black Dragon on its own. It used it's superior agility to avoid almost every attack and collapsed several trees to pin the dragon down. - Elin Gentleheart, Adventurer

The Bat-Winged Night Wyvern is a species of Wyvern that lacks certain features of a normal Wyvern like the poison tail but its other feature make up for any shortcomings.

The Bat-Winged Night Wyvern is a nocturnal creature as its body is covered in dark scales that can make it easily blend into the darkness. Even creatures that can see in the dark find it near impossible to find a hiding Bat-Winged Night Wyvern as it is a master of the darkness.

The Bat-Winged Night Wyvern is very intelligent for a Wyvern. It plans and prepares before attacking, always using everything it can to subdue its prey. An unwary creature that enters the territory of a Bat-Winged Night Wyvern will be fine for the first few nights as the Bat-Winged Night Wyvern observes the creature, seeing how it behaves, how it fights, what it eats, everything. It will then plan the perfect attack, starting by disabling the largest threat, whether it be a spellcaster in a party or slicing the wings of another wyvern so it cannot fly away, or even destroying a light source that might expose it. No matter what, the Bat-Winged Night Wyvern will use stealth, speed and fear to its advantage.
