Description
(This is for a setting of my design, but feel free to use as you see fit.)
Juun, the scorpion god of knowledge and secrets, is the only such god Orcs worship. Despite his low status among the orc pantheon, he is still not one to be trifled with. Those who displease him end up misshapen and deformed to the point even its former kin cannot stand to be around them. Its eyes become hard-shelled black domes, and a second set grows from its temples. Its hands turn into powerful claws, Its lower body distorts until it resembles that of a scorpion with a long, deadly tail. Its lower mandibles split, leaving them with powerful mouthpieces that it can join together to allow them to speak whatever language it remembers.
Worse yet, Juun drains his victims of most of Its mental facilities. It retains its orcish rage, but drains them of its sanity and itsmemories. He does leave them with just enough of its mind to understand why this happened, that things weren't always this bleak, and there may have once been a time where it wasn't this abomination.
Skorks are solitary hunters, preferring isolation to interacting with even the fringes of Underdark society. Those that stumble into its territory are more often than not hunted down and eaten. It will avoid large groups, but won't shy away from an adventuring group. It makes rocky, uneven terrain its territory, using this to its advantage as it skitters across the ground to take on its hampered prey. If it finds itself outmatched, it will try and escape through one of many holes leading into the area. Some of these walls are raised from the ground, giving them time to lose its pursuers as it tries to climb. It sometimes hordes any items looted from its victims in its den, but some have been known to leave a stash near its territory to act as bait to attract some greedy prey.
