Amphibious: Aurgloroasa can breathe air and water.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day): If Aurgloroasa fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Magic Resistance: Aurgloroasa has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Living Shadow: While in dim light or darkness, Aurgloroasa has resistance to damage that isn’t force, psychic, or radiant.
Shadow Stealth: While in dim light or darkness, Aurgloroasa can take the Hide action as a bonus action.
Sunlight Sensitivity: While in sunlight, Aurgloroasa has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.
Multiattack: Aurgloroasa can use its Frightful Presence. It then makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite: Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 19 (2d10 + 8) piercing damage plus 9 (2d8) acid damage.
Claw: Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d6 + 8) slashing damage.
Tail: Melee Weapon Attack: +15 to hit, reach 20 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d8 + 8) bludgeoning damage.
Frightful Presence: Each creature of Aurgloroasa's choice that is within 120 feet of the dragon and aware of it must succeed on a DC 19 Wisdom saving throw or become Frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to Aurgloroasa's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.
Shadow Breath: (Recharge 5-6). Aurgloroasa exhales shadowy acid in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 22 Dexterity saving throw, taking 56 (16d6) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. A humanoid reduced to 0 hit points by this damage dies, and a Shadow rises from its corpse and acts immediately after the dragon in the initiative count. The shadow is under Aurgloroasa's control.
Can take 3 Legendary Actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature's turn. Spent legendary Actions are regained at the start of each turn.
- Detect: Aurgloroasa makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.
- Tail Attack: Aurgloroasa makes a tail Attack.
- Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions): Aurgloroasa beats its wings. Each creature within 15 ft. of the dragon must succeed on a DC 23 Dexterity saving throw or take 15 (2d6 + 8) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. Aurgloroasa can then fly up to half its flying speed.
Description
Aurgloroasa is obsessed with research into death, undeath, Necromancy, and shadow magic. She also considered herself to be the draconic death god Null's most faithful servant and her most ardent wish was to become his consort and thus a demipower in her own right. Towards this goal she aspired to bring a large portion of Faerun under her sway and create a draconic theocracy in Null's name.
Named the Sibilant Shade by the Dwarven High Priest of Thunderholme, Aurgloroasa manipulated the High Priest to rise in power and become the regent for Thunderholme. The city toiled to build a large temple to Dumathoin in the center of the city, and upon the date of it's dedication it was instead named for Null and Aurgloroasa was summoned into the temple. She slaughtered all but 30 dwarves of the population, and hunted those down in the weeks to come. Their raise skeletons now serve as sentinels of Thunderholme which is now the lair of Aurgloroasa.
A few hundred years later, the Cult of the Dragon offered Aurgloroasa the chance to ascend to lichdom and after some subtle machinations was transformed into a dracolich, though she had fooled the cult enough that the magic bonds they used to control the dracoliches held no sway over her. She rests in Thunderholme to this day, amassing knowledge and sacrificing would-be adventurers and treasure hunters to Null.

Lair and Lair Actions
The dwarven fortress of Thunderholme serves as the lair of Aurgloroasa. Her dark shadow power has seeped into the very stone of the city itself.
Lair Actions
On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Aurgloroasa takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; Aurgloroasa can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- A rift of the Shadowfell fills a 20 foot radius sphere centered on a point Aurgloroasa chooses within 120 feet of her. The sphere spreads areoujnd corners and remains until Aurgloroasa dismisses it as an action, uses this lair action again, or dies. A creature with Darkvision cannot see through this darkness and magical light cannot illuminate it. Any creature that begins it's turn in the sphere is Blinded until they leave the sphere and takes 2d6 Necrotic and 2d6 Cold damage.
- A wall of shadow erupts from the ground at point Aurgloroasa chooses within 120 feet of her. The wall is 60 feet long, 10 feet high, and 5 feet thick, and it blocks line of sight. When the wall appears, each creature in it's area must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 18(4d8) bludgeoning damage and is pushed 5 feet out of the walls space, appearing on whatever side of the wall it wants. Each 10 foot section of the wall has AC 5, 15 hit points, vulnerability to Radiant damage, resistance to slashing, bludgeoning, and piercing damage, and is immune to Psychic damage. The wall sinks back into the ground when the dragon uses this lair action again or when the dragon dies.
- Spikes of darkness leap from the shadows to strike at three creatures Aurgloroasa can see within 120 feet. Aurgloroasa makes one ranged attack roll (+7 to hit) against each target. On a hit, the target takes 10(3d6) piercing damage.
Regional Effects
The region containing Aurgloroasa's lair is a thin barrier to the Shadowfell, which creates one or more of the following effects:
- Non-magical lights within one mile of the city are extinguished.
- Dark storm clouds always cover the sky over the lair, blocking much of the light and deepening the shadows.
If the Aurgloroasa dies, these effects fade over the course of 5d10 days.
