Description
Antlion Guards are four legged car sized orange and moss colored insectoids with hard segmented shell armor and antennae along their backs. They stand upright and hunched like a horse or seal, and have long sharp forearms. Their head functions as a battering weapon, and their hind legs like that of an ungulate. The grunt and roar like a tiger would and are known to gallop.
Antlion Guards are a burrowing species, although they are not proficient enough utilize this skill in a combat scenario. They lack eyes but can sense movements though the ground, air, and sound. Antlion Guards are naturally defensive despite a lack of Antlions.
As an invasive species, Antlions were hunted into extinction, leaving the more threatening species to fend for itself. The Antlion Guard is a symbiotic with instincts tied to the preservation of a now deceased colony. This has driven their perception of all other creatures to a consistent state of paranoia.
