Fire to Ash. When the Baby Phoenix dies, Phoenix Egg appears in the space the Baby Phoenix previously occupied. If the Baby Phoenix was in flight, the Phoenix Egg ignores and damage resulting from the fall.
Magic Resistance. Baby Phoenix has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Limited Telepathy. Baby Phoenix can magically communicate simple ideas, emotions, and images telepathically with any creature within 100ft of it that can understand a Language.
Magic Weapons. Baby Phoenix's weapon attacks are magical.
Talons. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (1d6 + 3) fire damage.
Fire Ray. Ranged Spell Attack: +5 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (1d8 + 5) fire damage.
Illumination: Baby Phoenix sheds bright light in a 30ft radius and dim light in an additional 30ft. The effect lasts for an hour unless canceled with a bonus action or dispelled.
Protective Shroud: Baby Phoenix can shroud a willing creature with a protective aura. The creature shares its magic resistance trait. Baby Phoenix cannot take any action while shrouding and must stay within 5ft of the creature or the effect ends. Baby Phoenix regains the ability to use this feature after the Baby Phoenix finishes a short or long rest. Unless otherwise specified, Baby Phoenix will always try to shroud its bonded creature as its first action during combat.
New Life. When a creature bonded to the Baby Phoenix within the Baby Phoenix's sight has its hit points drop to 0 or dies, Baby Phoenix can make a DC 10 Charisma check. When passed, Baby Phoenix can transfer all of its remaining hit points to the fallen, or if the creature has died, bring it back to 0 HP. The Baby Phoenix turns into Phoenix Egg after successfully using this feature.
