Sunlight Sensitivity. While in sunlight, the Armor Winged kobold has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that require sight.
Formation. Armored Wing Kobolds will band together with other Armor Winged Kobolds to protect things. This will result in shoulder to shoulder Kobolds in what is usually a triangle around whatever they are protecting. Other formations are acceptable if the space they are in requires something else.
Shortsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 4) piercing damage.
Sling. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) bludgeoning damage.
Alarm. When the kobold first sees someone within 20 feet of what it is protecting it omits a screech that notifies all kobolds within 800 feet. This screech also deafens players 40 feet around the Armor Winged Kobold if they do not make a Constitution saving throw of 12 or higher.
Man Down. If an Armor Winged Kobold falls, its fellow Armor Winged Kobolds will send the closest two Armor Winged Kobolds to bring their wounded comrade back. Once retrieved, the injured Armor Winged Kobold will be placed within the formation of other Armor Winged Kobolds.
Description
Armor Winged Kobolds are craven reptilian humanoids that are the tanks of kobolds and usually protect valuables or prestigious figures such as dragons and priests. Considered to be blessed with their wings, they are kept away from the other envious kobolds. They aren't clever so much as they are strong and trained soldiers.
