Mimicry. The wendigo can mimic animal sounds and humanoid voices. A creature that hears the sounds can tell they are imitations with a successful DC 16 Wisdom (Insight) check.

Description

A wendigo is a human that during the hard times of winter or during a famine ate human flesh in such great numbers that they turned into something inhuman constantly craving the flesh of mankind.

They are smart and vicious hunters that play with and taunt their pray.

A wendigo may also store some of it´s pray alive inside it´s layer for later consumption.

  • Stalaktites. Force a creature within the layer to make a DC 15 dexterity saving throw or take 2d10 bludgeoning damage.
  • Traps. The Wendigo may have littered it´s layer with different types of traps like rope slips or bear traps.
