Traits

Amphibious. The boilfrog can breathe air, water, and smoke.

Standing Leap. The toad's long jump is up to 20 feet and its high jump is up to 10 feet, with or without a running start.

Heat Immunity. Boilfrog's can not be burnt in anyway. This mixed with the amphibious nature of the frog, makes boiling lakes and rivers some of their favorite places to nest.

Actions

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d10 + 2) piercing damage plus 5 (1d10) poison damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 13). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the toad can't bite another target.

Swallow. The boilfrog makes one bite attack against a Medium or smaller target it is grappling. If the attack hits, the target is swallowed, and the grapple ends. The swallowed target is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the toad, and it takes 10 (3d6) acid damage at the start of each of the toad's turns. The toad can have only one target swallowed at a time. If the boilfrog dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse using 5 feet of movement, exiting prone.

Smoke Breath (Recharge 5–6). The dragon exhales fire in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 14 constitution saving throw, taking (3d8) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Description

Boilfrogs are giant red frogs with bright orange eyes. They have black speckles all over their body. Their tongues are black as well. They are the size of around two horses, they can jump about fifteen feet high and ten feet wide. But most notably they are completely resistant to heat. They can swim across magma pools, walk right through flames, and breath in smoke like it's nothing. The dwarves use them not only to traverse the swamp, but also as tools for mining. The creatures themselves are very hot, and their tongues can melt almost anything. Boilfrogs can also of course breath fire. The dwarves have had to make special armor and saddles to even be able to ride Boilfrogs.
