Description

A friend shaped, XXXL rodent and Lilo's steed

Dentition. In the mouth are long incisor teeth and a solid dental arch that closes like scissors. The capybara has a total of 20 teeth. When the animal approaches one year of age, the teeth are replaced with new ones, which push the old ones out. In the adult animal, the incisors can measure 5 to 6 cm and are covered by a yellowish pigment. Because it is a rodent, the capybara needs to wear or break part of its incisors, gnawing hard objects such as logs, stones, etc. If you do not do it correctly, the incisors of the inner jaw will reach an inadequately large size, causing injuries to your upper jaw.

Feeding Habits. The capybara does not fill its mouth with the vegetation that serves as food at once. Chew leaf by leaf, with phlegmatic patience, taking several hours to complete your stomach's full capacity. It also eats aquatic plants such as water hyacinth and others found at the bottom of the water or in shallow depths.

Mating Ritual. The main stimulus for the development of courting behavior, after the smell, is tactile. There is a whole ritual that precedes copulation itself. The female walks slowly towards the water, being closely followed by the male. Like dogs, it touches its genital region with its snout, which, seeming indifferent, follows its path towards the water. However, in the water, nothing in circles, being always followed by the male. Sometimes she dives and the male loses sight of her for a few seconds. Whenever possible, the male touches it with his snout. After a few minutes in this ritual, the female, followed by the male, swims towards shallow waters, when it then stops and is covered by it. Copulation lasts about five seconds. Then the male releases the female, both of them swimming again.
