Posted Dec 5, 2021Good catch! The Apprentice Wizard is also a "1st-level spellcaster," but they only get 2 spell slots. My bet is they accidentally gave the Acolyte an extra slot.

Posted Nov 18, 2022Excuse me can you explain the topic that you are on currently? Also, I have a few questions. One, I thought of a system of hiring which is pretty much you use persuasion, intimidation, or some other form of talking, then tell the person to join you without charging money you. S0 it is pretty much you hire them, give them 0 money in return, and if they don't listen you kill them. It does seem pretty farfetched or a little cruel at first, but I use it.

Posted May 21, 2023They know, they said they think the spellcaster level refers to what level of spells are available, not the character level. So basically, a 9th level monster spellcaster would actually be 17th or 18th level in character terms, and thus would have 9th level spells available to it.
I don't believe this is true though. The arcanaloth is a 16th level spellcaster, but it can only cast spells up to half its level. (8th level) And if you look at other monster spellcasters you'll see the same thing.
