Keen Sight. The argentavis has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.
Multiattack. The argentavis makes two attacks: one with its beak and one with its talons.
Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage.
Talons. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) slashing damage.
Grab. The argentavis attempts to grab a target that is large or smaller. The creature must succeed a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or be grappled by the argentavis (escape DC 17). While the creature is grappled, the argentavis cannot make another claw attack.
Pin. The argentavis attempts to grab a target that is large or smaller and hold it down. The creature must succeed a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or be grappled by the argentavis and pinned (escape DC 17 STR). While the creature is grappled, it has disadvantage on all attacks and the argentavis cannot make another claw attack. This effect ends if the creature escapes or the argentavis moves.
Description
This large bird is known for its strength and power. It looks like a leaner harpy eagle with a smaller crest and some more falcon-like characteristics. Its immense strength allows it to grapple and pin creatures of the same size with relative ease. So great is its power that it has been known to prey on full grown wyverns. Its normal diet consists of creatures like elk, buffalo, and even elephants.
