Unsubstantial. The Ash Spirit Can move into another creature's space as if it was normal terrain.
Suffocate. Using the Unsubstantial trait, the Ash Spirit can enter Medium or smaller creatures' spaces. Whenever the Ash Spirit enters creature's space, the creature must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw.
On a successful save, the creature can choose to move 5 feet back or to the side of the Ash Spirit. A creature that chooses not to move suffers the consequences of a failed saving throw.
On a failed save, the Ash Spirit enters the creature's space, completely covering the creature, and clogging it's lungs with ash. The engulfed creature can't breathe and takes 7 (2d6+1) necrotic damage at the start of each of the Ash Spirit's turns.
An engulfed creature can try to escape by taking an action to make a DC 12 Dexterity check. On a success, the creature escapes without causing the Stay With Creature reaction and enters a space of its choice within 5 feet of the Ash Spirit.
Stay With Creature. If the Ash Spirit is using the Suffocate action, if the creature it is suffocating moves out of the Ash Spirit's space, It can move with the creature so it continues to suffocate. The creature does not make the saving throw again.
