would this work?
The fact that Elves' have a symbiotic relationship with owlbears is really cool. I'm going to have my party investigate an elven wizard's hidden tower as part of a campaign and having a domesticated Owlbear guarding the courtyard is the perfect challenge to throw at my players. More interesting than dogs and their popularity amongst players makes me wonder whether they will try to fight it or find a non-violent resolution.
have you hugged a owlbear today ?
I just tamed a baby owlbear and am getting a saddle made for him :)
I almost died nmy compaign to this mofo!
Sameee. I feed mine some berries.
I do not understand. Is this thing just a monster, is i nice, does it ever get hungry? I need to know these kind of stuff so I can DM this quest better. My people went into the forest I my made up world. I want them to encounter a owl-bear but I want them to try to befriend it, is there a way to do that? My thought is that it needs to be fed so that they can befriend it if they need to like in my story. I know this is a long comment and I apologize, thank you for reading this.
I love owlbears
imagine of they acted like puppies, I would be crushed
Buuuut, they are. although canonically it is still person to person with the elves not helping at all.
Are Owlbear children referred to as cubs or as owlets?
I was a dm and my barbarian slammed him onto the ground he got 1 round to attack Sorcerer Intimidated him the bard through javelin that broke two joints and then the druid charmed him and Took him back alive for the reward
Just tamed one yeyyyyyyyyyy
ii have an owlbear plushie :) it doubles as a dice bag
Can you ride an owlbear after using the druid spell " Talk to Animals"?
Your mom's an Owlbear. :|
Yes, they are. They're just beasts that are originally owls. It's cool. I totally don't have 27 of them as my pets.
@lendrath what you should do, is roll a D6 and the outcome will determine the amount of owl bears you can summon that roll also determines the amount of long rests you need to take for you to be able to use the ability again.
I love that!
My dm just pulled this on us, our Paladin almost died in one hit. This things a beast
