Description
Illegal allowance of shadow energy into the purity of the Feywild isn't allowed so they were banished from the Feywild by the Many Courts ruling it. These eldarins experimented with the essence of the Shadowfell and the Feywild trying to mix the two together and it caused them to be transformed into unknown shapechanging creatures. The Many Courts banished and hunted them from the plains and the forests or the Feywild until they were thought extinct.
