Arachnid Ancestry. The Arachne has advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put the Arachne to sleep.
Innate Spellcasting. The Arachne innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 14). The Arachne can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: Sapping Sting, Hunters mark.
1/day each: Snare, Animal friendship.
Spider Climb. The Arachne can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Web Walker. The Arachne ignores movement restrictions caused by webbing.
Web Sense. While in contact with a web, the spider knows the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web.
Carry the young. the Arachne has a 33% chance to carry a Large Group of Young Arachne. these Infants use the "Swarm of insects (Spiders)" Stat Block. they have their own initiative and often attempt to flee from battle.
Multiattack. The Arachne can make one bite attack or one longbow attack and then use Web if it is able too.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack:+6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 2 (1d4) piercing damage plus 9 (2d8) poison damage. On hit target must make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or be cursed with the Arachne curse.
Longbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 +4) piercing damage plus 4 (1d8) poison damage.
Web (Recharge 5–6). Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 30/60 ft., one creature. Hit: The target is restrained by webbing. As an action, the restrained target can make a DC 12 Strength check, bursting the webbing on a success. The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed (AC 10; hp 5; vulnerability to fire damage; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage).
Dexterous legs: The Arachne can take the Dash and disengage actions as a bonus action.
Description
Arachne are a race of creatures with a humanoid upper body but the body of a spider from the waist down. they often dwell in clans often being underground or even in the underdark if need be.
A Cursed Venom. When an Arachne curses someone (See potential ways of being cursed above) the Curse victim will start feeling different and changing. they may no longer struggle when climbing through webbing. they may have an odd liking for weaving or maybe they often hiss at anyone or anything hostile. later symptoms could be an odd love for the dark. growing or shrinking in size. gaining a fanged maw. after a full sleep with this curse the victim will wake up to their body changed into an Arachne form, or in the worse of cases they wake up during the transformation.
All Hail the Matriarch. Arachne serve under a Matriarch system. the strongest one of each clan is known as the Matriarch. these are the leaders of each clan and those under them will obey without Question. if one such Arachne is Brave and strong enough they may Challenge the Matriarch for the throne.
A deadly hunter. Arachne Rangers are often wolf spider Arachne. they are in Charge of hunting and forging Food for their Clan. they are skilled with Animals and often with a bow. Before they go out on their hunts they often gather a group (Called a "Pack") and start to Mark their hunting grounds by putting traps, setting marks and clearing out any and all opposition. if any group of adventurers dare enter the hunting grounds of a Pack they often become Pray for the predators. never underestimate a Pack of Rangers.
A Grand Hunt. Whenever an Arachne Clan is running out of Food or they need food for others reasons (Such as a Celebration), multiple packs of Hunters and Rangers will Form together for a "Grand Hunt". these groups often can have between 20 to 60 members. during a Grand hunt they often go after big and often Dangerous creatures. in a large team of 50 or more they may even Hunt a Dragon down to its lair.
