Traits

Keen Smell. The bebilith has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

Magic Weapons. A bebilith’s weapon attacks are magical.

Rend Armor. When a bebilith hits a creature wearing nonmagical armor or carrying a nonmagical shield with both claw attacks in the same round, the armor or shield takes a permanent -1 penalty to the AC it offers. Armor reduced to an AC of 10 or a shield that drops to +0 bonus is destroyed. A damaged shield or suit of armor can be repaired by a blacksmith.

Spider Climb. The bebilith can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

Actions

Multiattack The delver makes three attacks: one bite and two claw attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d8+6) piercing damage plus 21 (6d6) poison damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or become poisoned for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d6+6) slashing damage

Web (Recharge 5–6). Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 30/60 ft., one creature. Hit: The target is restrained by webbing. As an action, the restrained target can make a DC 18 Strength check, bursting the webbing on a success. The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed (AC 12; hp 10; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage).

Plane Shift (3/Day). Bebiliths can cast plane shift, as the spell, except that the creature can transport only itself. This requires no components.

Description

An enormous, misshapen spider stalks out of the darkness. Its forelegs end in wicked barbs, and globs of foul goo drip from its fanged mouth.

Bebiliths are enormous, predatory, arachnid demons that hunt other demons. While they favor preying upon other demons, they aren’t picky—they will stalk and attack any type of creature.

A bebilith has a body the size of a plow horse, with legs spanning more than 14 feet. It weighs more than two tons.

A bebilith attacks any creature it sees. It usually picks one target and concentrates its attacks on that opponent, using its webs to isolate the target from its comrades. Should the bebilith become overwhelmed by tougher opponents, it often attempts to bite one or more of its victims and retreats, allowing its poison to do its work.

A creature found in the book Monster Manual for D&D 3.5, adapted to 5th Edition.
