A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. Additionally 1d6 fissures open up, snaking in directions on the Drekiùdian's choice. Each one is a 60 foot line that is 5 feet wide and 1d8 × 10 feet deep. A creature standing on a spot where a fissure opens must succeed on a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw or fall in. A creature that successfully saves moves with the fissure's edge as it opens.
Description
Drekiùdian look to be somewhere between a giant and a dragon. It is a towering humanoid creature, covered in scales and with an elongated, dragon-like snout. They have the massive strength and ability to use weapons from giants, with the scales and breath weapon of a dragon. With the most deadly aspects of both creatures, these mousers are feared for the shear might.
Drekiùdian are hated by both dragon and giant culture. They are outcasts because of their nature. This is because dragons and giants are mortal enemies, so a cross between them is more the unthinkable to them.
Drekiùdian originated from the bloody dragon-giant war. Some giants had mutations that led to be like the dragons they fought.
Monster Variant: Typed Drekiùdian
Although the basic Drekiùdian is meant to be a generic dragon-giant cross, some Drekiùdian are similar to a specific dragon type or giant type. To make a Drekiùdian a specific dragon or giant type, make the following changes to the base stat block:
- Replace the base Breath Weapon action from the stat bock with all breath weapons on the dragon type you are basing it off of. Then change the saving throw DC(s) to 19 and the damage(s) to 19d6.
- Replace all damage resistances with the immunity of the dragon you are basing it off of.
- Change the damage type of the additional damage for the bite attack to the damage type of the breath weapon.
- Give the Drekiùdian all resistances and immunities the giant your basing it off of has.
- Give all features from the giant you are basing it off of to the Drekiùdian.
A variant Drekiùdian made this way is typically still Challenge Rating 15 (13,000 xp), but may be different depending on the giant and dragon you chose.
