Traits

Avoidance. If the displacer beast is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails.

Displacement. The displacer beast projects a magical illusion that makes it appear to be standing near its actual location, causing attack rolls against it to have disadvantage

Each time a creature targets you with an attack during the spell's duration, roll a d20 to determine whether the attack instead targets one of your duplicates, if you roll an 11 or higher, a duplicate is hit instead. The creature starts with 3 duplicates, and a duplicate reforms once per turn on a 5 or 6.

If the creature is hit, this trait is disrupted until the end of its next turn. This trait is also disrupted while the displacer beast is incapacitated or has a speed of 0.

Actions

Multiattack. The displacer beast makes three attacks with its tentacles.

Tentacle. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 5) bludgeoning damage plus 3 (1d6) piercing damage, plus 3 (1d6) psychic damage, and the afflicted creature must make a DC 10 constitution save or be temporarily slowed.

Reactions

Temporal Flux. When struck by a non-magical attack, the creature may teleport up to 15 feet away from the attacker.

Legendary Actions

Legendary Actions:

Pack Rush. The Apex Displacer Beast lets out a mighty roar, encouraging one of its comrades to move up to 30 feet, and make an attack. This creature does not provoke attacks of opportunity. Recharges on a 5 or 6.

Bend Reality. The Apex Displacer Beast may expend a legendary action to teleport up to 30 ft.

Twist Reality. The Apex Displacer Beast may expend a legendary action in order to succeed against a failed saving throw, or roll a 1d6, subtracting the number rolled from the opponents to-hit roll.
