Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 3) piercing damage.
Tentacle. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 13). The octopus has eight tentacles, each of which can grapple only one target.
Sweep. Melee Weapon Attack: Each creature within 10 feet of the guardian must make a DC 13 Dex save, or be knocked prone and take 1d6 bludgeoning damage.
The guardian can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. The guardian regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Lunge. The guardian moves up to its movement speed in any direction.
Bite. The guardian makes a one attack with its bite.
Tentacle (Costs 2 actions). The guardian makes one attack with its tentacles.
Description
This ornate, seemingly decorative statue was purpose-built to guard a powerful artifact from the outside world, lest its power be abused. Once a creature comes within 10 feet of it, the guardian springs to life to defend its treasure.
