Traits

Immune to all Magic. Both arcane and divine magics have no effect upon the luggage. It has been described as an object so unusual, the Gods don't believe in it, ergo their magics tend to ignore its existence.

Bigger on the inside. The inside of a Luggage acts similarly to the bag of holding, the exception being that there is no limit to the types items which can be held within, as the Luggage can carry containers such as backpacks and sacks if coins. The only caveat to this is that the items must be of a size sufficient to fit into the Luggage's open maw. Items carried decay at the same rate that they would if carried normally.

Immortality. The Luggage can't technically die, when it's HP reaches zero it instead enters a coma and will not awaken for 1d6 days. Until it awakens, the items held are unreachable and it is immobile.

Intimidating Presence: When the Vaguely Sentient Luggage swallows a target, all creatures that see the target swallowed and are within 30 feet of The Luggage must make a CHA saving throw (DC 15) or suffer from the frightened condition. Frightened creatures can make a CHA saving throw at the end of each subsequent round to stop being frightened. Once a creature makes a successful CHA saving throw, it cannot be frightened by the Vaguely Sentient Luggage for 24 hours.

Unnatural Shapes: When the Vaguely Sentient Luggage's owner is speaking to a creature, the Vaguely Sentient Luggage can choose to open its lid, creaking threateningly, revealing large, tombstone-like white teeth and a large red tongue. The owner has advantage on CHA (Intimidation) checks against the creature until the creature can no longer see the Vaguely Sentient Luggage.

Actions

 Bite. Melee Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 8 (1d4 + 6) bludgeoning damage. 

One bitten, luggage can try to grapple the target. The target must make a DEX saving throw (DC 16) or the Vaguely Sentient Luggage stays clamped. Any attack to the Vaguely Sentient Luggage from the target while the Luggage is clamped on is automatically a  critical hit. If the Vaguely Sentient Luggage suffers 40 points of damage while clamped on, it lets go. All melee attacks against the target while the Luggage is clamped on have advantage. 

Swallow. If someone other than the Vaguely Sentient Luggage's owner attempts to remove an item from its opening, the Vaguely Sentient Luggage attempt to swallow the target. The target must make a DEX check against the Vaguely Sentient Luggage's STR check. If the Vaguely Sentient Luggage is successful, then the swallowed creature disappears, never to be seen again. This action triggers the Intimidating Presence trait.

Bonus Actions

Charge. Melee Attack: +1 to hit, range 30 ft, hits all targets in its path within the designated range. Hit: 9 (1d6 + 6) bludgeoning damage. 

If the Vaguely Sentient Luggage moves 10 feet in a straight line during its turn, it can Charge as a bonus action. The Vaguely Sentient Luggage gains sufficient momentum to barrel through anything in its path. If the luggage fails to hit, the target is assumed to have moved 5ft to the side to avoid the collision. In confined spaces where such a dodge is impossible, the luggage always hits. The target must make a DEX saving throw (DC 16) to avoid being knocked prone and trampled for an additional 8 (1d4 + 6) points of bludgeoning damage.

Legendary Actions

The Vaguely Sentient Luggage has 3 legendary actions per round.

Inexplicable cleaning (1 action). Any object placed inside for at least one day is cleaned and cared for (fabrics will be ironed and folded, metal and leather will be shone, etc). Said items will also be returned smelling faintly of lavender.

Constant supply of underwear (1 action). While there is no rhyme or reason for this, the luggage always has a fresh pair of clean underpants available for its owner.

Charge (2 actions). If the Vaguely Sentient Luggage is more than 30 feet from the person it perceives to be its owner, it will charge. See Charge Attack for rules.

Description

The Vaguely Sentient luggage is made of sapient pearwood and weighs 100 pounds. It looks like a fancy wooden chest with golden filigree, until it moves. Then it reveals hundreds of little legs protruding from the bottom of the chest.  If it opens its lid, it displays large, tombstone-like white teeth and a large red tongue.

The luggage contains at least four pocket dimensions: one where laundry takes place, one where clean underwear appears from, one that stores the owner's possessions, and one that causes swallowed creatures to permanently vanish.
