Traits

Enchanted Mind. Alaric's Dopple has advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

Illusory Equipment. Any equipment on the dopple's person dissolves into shadow stuff should the dopple be destroyed.

Jack of All Trades. Alaric's Dopple can add half its proficiency bonus, rounded down, to any ability check it makes that doesn’t already include his proficiency bonus.

Magical Inspiration. If a creature has a Bardic Inspiration die from Alaric's Dopple and casts a spell that restores hit points or deals damage, the creature can roll that die and choose a target affected by the spell. Add the number rolled as a bonus to the hit points regained or the damage dealt. The Bardic Inspiration die is then lost.

Magic Initiate (Wizard). Alaric's Dopple gains the innate spellcasting trait with its spellcasting ability being Intelligence (spell save DC 14, +6 to hit with spell attacks):
At will: fire bolt, shape water
1/day: find familiar

Observant. If Alaric's Dopple can see a creature's mouth while it is speaking a language the Dopple understands, the Dopple can interpret what it's saying by reading its lips.

Shadowy Nature. Alaric's Dopple does not need to sleep, eat, consume food or water, or breathe. It is immune to blood curses unless they are amplified.

Song of Rest. Any friendly creature regains an extra 1d8 hit points on a short rest.

Unerring Eye. Alaric's Dopple automatically succeeds at detecting and seeing through illusions.

Pact Magic. Alaric's Dopple is an 11th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 18, +10 to hit with spell attacks). Alaric's Dopple knows the following warlock spells:
Cantrips (at will): booming blade, eldritch blast
1st level (1 slot): hex, shield

Spellcasting. Alaric's Dopple is an 11th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 18, +10 to hit with spell attacks). Alaric's Dopple knows the following bard spells:
Cantrips (at will): friends, mage hand, minor illusion, prestidigitation
1st level (4 slots): bane, detect magic, healing word, identify
2nd level (3 slots): shatter
3rd level (3 slots): comedic timing, conjure animals, counterspell, dispel magic, hypnotic pattern
4th level (3 slots): dimension door, polymorph
5th level (2 slots): Bigby's hand, dominate person, modify memory, synaptic static

Actions

Countercharm. Alaric's Dopple can start a performance that lasts until the end of its next turn. During that time, it and any friendly creatures within 30 feet of it have advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed. A creature must be able to hear it to gain this benefit. The performance ends early if it is incapacitated or silenced or if you voluntarily end it (no action required).

Lyre of Building. Alaric's Dopple can cast the following spells from the lyre:
At will: mending
1/day each: fabricate, move earth, passwall, summon construct

Mythcarver (Awakened). Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 13 (1d8 + 8) slashing damage plus (1d6) force damage.

Bonus Actions

Bardic Inspiration (6/Short Rest). A creature (other than Alaric's Dopple) within 60 ft. that can hear it gains an inspiration die (1d10). For 10 minutes, the creature can add it to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. This can be added after seeing the roll, but before knowing the outcome.

Hexblade's Curse (1/Short Rest). Alaric's Dopple chooses one creature it can see within 30 feet of it. The target is cursed for 1 minute. The curse ends early if the target dies, Alaric's Dopple dies, or Alaric's Dopple is incapacitated. Until the curse ends, Alaric's Dopple gains the following benefits:

  • Alaric's Dopple gains a +4 bonus to damage rolls against the cursed target.
  • Any attack roll Alaric's Dopple makes against the cursed target is a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 on the d20.
  • If the cursed target dies, Alaric's Dopple regains hit points equal to 7.
Reactions

Cutting Words (1 Inspiration Die). When a creature that Alaric's Dopple can see within 60 feet of him makes an attack roll, an ability check, or a damage roll, it can use its reaction to expend one of its uses of Bardic Inspiration, rolling a Bardic Inspiration die and subtracting the number rolled from the creature’s roll. It can choose to use this feature after the creature makes its roll, but before the DM determines whether the attack roll or ability check succeeds or fails, or before the creature deals its damage. The creature is immune if it can’t hear it or if it’s immune to being charmed.

Enhanced Enchantment (1/Day). Once per day, when a spell states a creature is aware of a charm effect and that spell ends, Alaric's Dopple can use its reaction to force the creature to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 18). On a failure, the creature has no memory of being charmed.

Lyre of Building. Alaric's Dopple can also play the lyre as a reaction when an object or a structure it can see within 300 feet of it takes damage, causing it to be immune to that damage and any further damage of the same type until the start of its next turn.
