Total Control. The An-Rok-To-Ma can attempt to take complete control of any creature it is grappling. The grappled creature makes a DC 30 Will saving throw (Con - 1/4 damage taken) or is immediately taken control of by the An-Rok-To-Ma. The ARTM takes total control of the host and takes no damage from attacks that land on the host until the host is killed. The ARTM has full access to the host's abilities and absorbs all the information about the host so that none may tell the difference. A DC 25 Investigation check reveals a black viscous goo leaking from the host's ear which is the only indication of the ARTM having taken control of the host.
Grapple. The ARTM attempts to grapple its target (see total control).
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +19 to hit, reach 20 ft., 1 target. Hit: 15 (1d10 + 10) Bludgeoning damage. On a hit the target is grappled, on a crit the ATRM can choose to forgo the damage and instead automatically take total control of the creature.
Evacuation. As a reaction the ARTM can choose to abandon it's current host. This may be done after an attack has been made but before any effects take place.
Description
An-Rok-To-Ma is an eternal entity that is only ever mentioned in the most ancient of texts and is often misunderstood to be something much different than it is in actuality. The ARTM has been controlling people for eons, if not longer. ARTM is theorized to be one of the first beings to have emerged from the primordial chaos that spawned Ao. ARTM has been in control of many influential beings throughout the cosmos including liches, heroes, devils, demons, and even gods. No one knows the true intentions of An-Rok-To-Ma they only know that it is incredibly powerful.

Posted Oct 15, 2018I would caution DM's against using this creature on your PC's unless absolutely necessary or a story arc depends on it.

Posted May 8, 2019Interesting concept, with one major problem: the Total Control feature has no time limit or escape clause. I would suggest that once a year, the creature should be able to repeat the saving throw, breaking free of control with 10 successes in total, and that the An-Rok-To-Ma be unable to take control of a creature again after being forced out in this way.
