Actions

Multiattack. The Ankheg Queen makes three attacks: two with its Mandibles and one with its Bite.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (3d6 + 5) slashing damage plus 6 (2d6) acid damage. If the target is a Huge or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 15). Until this grapple ends, the ankheg can bite only the grappled creature and has advantage on attack rolls to do so.

Mandibles. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) slashing damage.

Acid Spray (Recharge 6). The Ankheg Queen spits acid in a line that is 50 feet long and 5 feet wide, provided that it has no creature grappled. Each creature in that line must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 36 (6d6) acid damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of the Queen's choice that is within 120 feet of the Queen and aware of it must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the Queen's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.
