Keen Hearing and Smell. The wolf has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.

Pack Tactics. The wolf has advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the wolf's allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.

Snow Camouflage. The wolf has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide in snowy terrain.

Primal Strike. The wolf’s attacks count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Actions

Multiattack. The wolf makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (2d10 + 6) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 20 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (1d10 + 6) slashing damage.

Howl. Each creature of the wolf's choice within 300 feet and able to hear it's howl must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + PB + CHA modifier) or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the wolf's Howl for the next 24 hours.

Cold Breath. Expend one spell slot, the wolf exhales an icy blast in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + PB + WIS modifier), taking 1d8 cold damage per level of the spell slot expended on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Bonus Actions

Combat Wild Shape. Expend one spell slot to regain 1d8 hit points per level of the spell slot expended.

A magical dire wolf form of a Circle of the Warg Druid.

Notes on the Warg's Stat Block which uses your proficiency bonus (use the PB you'd have based on your Druid level if multiclassing):

  • STR = 15 + PB, DEX = 13 + PB, CON = 14 + PB
  • INT, WIS, and CON are set by Wild Shape
  • AC = 12 + DEX modifier
  • HP = 35 + 4*(your Druid level)
  • Warg form is proficient in intimidation, perception, and stealth
  • Attack bonus = STR modifier + PB
  • Bite DC = 8 + PB + STR modifier
  • Bite damage = 2dX + STR modifier, and claws damage = 1dX + STR modifier where X is based on your Druid level
  • X = 6 at Druid level 6, 8 at Druid level 10, and 10 at Druid level 14
  • The CR of the Warg stat block is not accurate; it is set to the corresponding Druid Level. The actual CR is equal to the PB in the stat block.
  • There is a separate version of Warg for each Druid level.
