Traits

Sneak Attack. Once per turn, the assassin deals an extra 14 (4d6) damage when it hits a target with a weapon attack and has advantage on the attack roll, or when the target is within 5 feet of an ally of the assassin that isn't incapacitated and the assassin doesn't have disadvantage on the attack roll.

Battle Master. When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you learn maneuvers that are fueled by special dice called superiority dice.

Maneuvers. You learn three maneuvers of your choice, which are detailed under “Maneuvers” below. Many maneuvers enhance an attack in some way. You can use only one maneuver per attack.

Superiority Dice. You have four superiority dice, which are d10s. A superiority die is expended when you use it. You regain all of your expended superiority dice when you finish a short or long rest.

Saving Throws. Some of your maneuvers require your target to make a saving throw to resist the maneuver’s effects. The saving throw DC is calculated as follows:

Maneuver save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice)

Martially Adept.

You learn two maneuvers of your choice from among those available to the Battle Master archetype in the fighter class. If a maneuver you use requires your target to make a saving throw to resist the maneuver's effects, the saving throw DC is 16. You gain one superiority die per short rest, which is a d6, that is used to fuel your maneuvers.

Sharpshooter. You have mastered ranged weapons and can make shots that others find impossible. You gain the following benefits:
  • Attacking at long range doesn't impose disadvantage on your ranged weapon attack rolls.
  • Your ranged weapon attacks ignore half cover and three-quarters cover.
  • Before you make an attack with a ranged weapon that you are proficient with, you can choose to take a -5 penalty to the attack roll. If the attack hits, you add +10 to the attack's damage.
Actions

Two-weapon Fighting. When you take the Attack action and attack with a light melee weapon that you're holding in one hand, you can use a bonus action to attack with a different light melee weapon that you're holding in the other hand. You don't add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack, unless that modifier is negative.

Dagger. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d4 + 2) piercing damage.

Longbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, ranged 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) piercing damage.

Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage. Instead of dealing damage, the vampire can grapple the target (escape DC 18).

Actions in Combat. Attack, Cast a Spell, Dash, Disengage, Dodge, Grapple, Help, Hide, Improvise, Ready, Search, Shove, Use an Object
Superiority dice. 5 D10s per long rest
Unarmed Strike. You can punch, kick, head-butt, or use a similar forceful blow and deal bludgeoning damage equal to 1 + STR modifier
Bonus Actions

Two-weapon Fighting. When you take the Attack action and attack with a light melee weapon that you're holding in one hand, you can use a bonus action to attack with a different light melee weapon that you're holding in the other hand. You don't add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack, unless that modifier is negative.

Second Wind. You have a limited well of stamina that you can draw on to protect yourself from harm. On your turn, you can use a bonus action to regain hit points equal to 1d10 + your fighter level. Once you use this feature, you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again.

Reactions

Oportunity Attack. You can make an opportunity attack when a hostile creature that you can see moves out of your reach. To make the opportunity attack, you use your reaction to make one melee attack against the provoking creature. The attack occurs right before the creature leaves your reach

Maneuver: Parry. When another creature damages you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction and expend one superiority die to reduce the damage by the number you roll on your superiority die + your Dexterity modifier.

Description

Soldier. Feature: Military Rank. You have a military rank from your career as a soldier. Soldiers loyal to your former military organization still recognize your authority and influence, and they defer to you if they are of a lower rank. You can invoke your rank to exert influence over other soldiers and requisition simple equipment or horses for temporary use. You can also usually gain access to friendly military encampments and fortresses where your rank is recognized.
Personality Traits. I’m haunted by memories of war. I can’t get the images of violence out of my mind. I face problems head-on. A simple, direct solution is the best path to success.
Ideals. Might. In life as in war, the stronger force wins. (Evil)
Bonds. I’ll never forget the crushing defeat my company suffered or the enemies who dealt it.
Flaws. My hatred of my enemies is blind and unreasoning.
My company was killed in an ambush and I feel I could have prevented it as the commander of the group. Now, I'm hunting down the people who attacked us and have traced them back to a group called The Merchant's Guild. They ordered the attack to stop the transport we were protecting. The top members, the 5 Masters all need to die for what they've done. I took on the role of an avenger, have equipped myself with a bow and arrows, and hunt them down in the cover of darkness.

Lair and Lair Actions

When in an urban environment

Action Surge. You can take one additional action on your turn. This can be used 1 times per short rest.

Ambush. When you make a Dexterity (Stealth) check or an initiative roll, you can expend one superiority die and add the die to the roll, provided you aren’t incapacitated.

Extra Attack. You can attack three times, instead of twice, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Indomitable. You can reroll a saving throw that you fail. If you do so, you must use the new roll, and you can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest.

Know Your Enemy (1 Minute). If you spend at least 1 minute observing or interacting with another creature outside combat, you can learn information about its capabilities compared to your own: Strength score, Dexterity score, Constitution score, Armor Class, current HP, total class levels (if any), fighter class levels (if any)

Maneuvers: Disarming Attack. When you hit with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to add it to the damage and to disarm the target if it fails a STR saving throw (DC 16).

Maneuvers: Distracting Strike. When you hit with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to add the total to the damage roll and the next attack roll against the target by an attacker other than you has advantage if the attack is made before the start of your next turn.

Maneuvers: Evasive Footwork. When you move, you can expend one superiority die, rolling the die and adding the number rolled to your AC until you stop moving.

Maneuvers: Precision Attack. When you make a weapon attack roll, you can expend one superiority die to add it to the roll before or after the roll but before any effects are applied.

Maneuvers: Sweeping Attack. When you hit with a melee weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to deal damage to another creature within 5 ft. of the original target and within your reach (if the original attack would hit it) equal to the number you roll on the superiority die.

Maneuvers: Tactical Assessment. When you make an Intelligence (Investigation), an Intelligence (History), or a Wisdom (Insight) check, you can expend one superiority die and add the superiority die to the ability check.

Maneuvers: Trip Attack. When you hit with a weapon attack, you can expend one superiority die to add the total to the damage roll, and if the target is Large or smaller, it must make a STR saving throw (DC 16). On failure, you knock the target prone.
