Traits

Enraged. When Valstrax's HP is lowered to or below half, it coats its wings, claws and teeth in raw energy. It adds 13 (2d12) force damage to all attacks.

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Valstrax fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Magic Resistance. Valstrax has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack. Valstrax can use its Frightful Presence. It can make three attacks. It can make one with it's bite and two with it's claws.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d6 + 9) slashing damage.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (2d10 + 9) piercing damage.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d8 + 9) bludgeoning damage.

Wing Spear. Melee Weapon Attack: +17 to hit, reach 20 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d8 + 9) piercing damage.

Frightful Presence. Each creature of the dragon's choice that is within 120 feet of Valstrax and aware of it must succeed on a DC 21 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the Valstrax's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours.

Dragon's Missles. Valstrax creates three glowing missiles. Each mssile hits a creature of it's choice that it can see within a range of 90 feet. A missile deals 28 (4d8 + 6) force damage to its target. The missiles all strike simultaneously, however Valstrax can only choose to hit one creature per missile.

Around the World (Recharge 5-6). Valstrax takes the dash action into the air and flies around the battlefield, gaining speed. If Valstrax is within melee range, any opportunity attacks against him while performing this attack has disadvantage. On the next turn, Valstrax rockets towards the ground towards one creature of it's choice. Every creature in a 60-foot line that is 15 feet wide must make a DC 22 Dexterity saving throw, taking 32 (7d8) Force damage and 32 (7d8) Bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Legendary Actions

Valstrax can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Valstrax regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Detect. Valstrax makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.

Tail Attack. The dragon makes a tail attack.

Silver Burst. Valstrax aims it's wings on one singular point and let loose an explosion of raw energy. Each creature within 15 feet of the dragon must succeed on a DC 22 Dexterity saving throw or take 17 (3d10) force damage and be knocked prone. Valstrax can then fly up to a quarter its flying speed.

Description

A legendary apex predator covered in gleaming silver scales from a faraway land. Its most notable feature is its wings, which have fused into a trident-like structure, each segment ending in an opening designed to expel a pure crackling red energy. Its back is lined with fin-like projections. Its head has a small crest and its eyes are blue. Its chest has three horizontal gaps that are used to take in and pressurize air like a jet engine.
