Condition Immunities. blinded, charmed, deafened, frightened, paralyzed, petrified, poisoned, stunned, unconscious
Catastrophic Damage. If the vessel takes 50 or more damage from a single attack, roll a d6. On a 1 the vessel capsizes and is destroyed along with the crew. On a 2 the vessel is destroyed but the crew survives.
Sprint. The pilot may use their action to add 40 ft. of movement (140 ft. total). They may then make up to two mounted crossbow attacks.
Multiattack. A fully crewed destroyer can make one ballista attack and up to two mounted crossbow attacks.
Ballista. Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 160/450 ft., 1 target. Hit: 38 (8d6 + 10) piercing damage. A ballista has a -5 penalty for each size category of the target below Huge. Non-vehicle targets Large or smaller must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking half damage on a success.
Mounted Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 100/400 ft., 1 target. Hit: 19 (2d10 + 8) piercing damage. Non-vehicle targets Large or smaller must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw, taking half damage on a success.
Description
The Anauroch Destroyer is a high-mobility attack vessel with a dedicated pilot and ballista operator in addition to up to two additional passengers with mounted crossbows.
Stat blocks for Strength, Dexterity and Constitution as well as hit points and movement describe the vehicle; Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma as well as passive perception describe the pilot. Monster type applies only to the crew.
The entire crew are comprised of Anauroch Scouts unless otherwise noted.
