Description
Wastecrawler snails are massive snails which live in the great flattened expanses of Geltersid. Their skin is thick and hard, and their shells enormous rocklike organic structures. Their mouths are large gaping maws lined with acidic mucus.
When found in the wild, wastecrawlers eat by traversing the massive flat land they inhabit, eating anything in their path. They live in families of a dozen or fewer snails. Any more and they risk starving for lack of food nearby. When confronted with a particularly aggressive meal, wastecrawlers bludgeon their food to death with their pseudopods before consuming it.
In recent years, Geltersid has taken to taming and harnessing wastecrawlers and building structures atop their massive shells, utilizing the beasts for mass transport.
