Description
Altaurises are alien aberrations that are deadly hunters. They attack any sound that they hear, and cannot see, making them rely solely on sound to hunt. Having huge ear hole allowing them to hear from miles around, only a few can survive in an area. They have for appendages, with three claws on each. They have long, deadly teeth the use to rip apart prey. Their entire body is covered in thick, impenetrable armor. Their armor protects them from physical and magical damage alike. The only way to penetrate their armor is to create loud, high pitched sounds. This causes the muscles forming around their heads to grotesquely lift up the armor surrounding them, leaving their head completely vulnerable.
(I based this creature on the creatures from the movie A Quiet Place. I thought it would be really cool to have a creature like this, and I love taking creatures from other things and making them into creatures. I made up the name too. Took the two latin words, 'altus', and 'auris'. Each means 'great', and 'ear'. Not the official name, but it makes sense, and sounds cool.)
