Military Unit. For every quarter of its original hit points lost by the platoon of rural levies, it becomes capable of one fewer attack if it uses multiattack.
Morale. For every quarter of its original hit points lost by the platoon of rural levies, make a morale save against charisma (DC 15), it it fails the save, it becomes demoralized, and must, if possible use either a disengage or dash action to attempt to flee from the battlefield. If it has 20 or fewer hitpoints, or it is demoralized when it fails a charisma save the levy unit is destroyed. If the unit is demoralized it may attempt a DC 15 charisma save. If it succeeds, the it loses demoralized and may act normally.
Poor Morale. The platoon has disadvantage on all saves pertaining to morale if it has lost half or more of its original hit points.
Multiattack. The platoon of rural levies makes four attacks melee attacks or two direct fire attacks.
Club. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 2) piercing or slashing damage.
Direct Fire. Ranged Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, range 80/320 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d8) piercing damage.
Arcing Volley. The platoon selects circular area of 15 ft. in diameter, within 180 ft.. Creatures in the area must make a dexterity save, (DC 12) or take 5 (1d6) piercing damage per 5 ft. the creature occupies.
Description
Peasant levies are those who have been called into service for their local lord. Poorly trained, these troops have been made into an improvised archer force, largely to keep them out of intense combat. These troops cannot expect to stand up in a major confrontation.
