Berserk. Whenever the sourdough starts its turn with 40 hit points or fewer, roll a d6. On a 6, the starter goes berserk. On each of its turns while berserk, the starter attacks the nearest creature it can see. If no creature is near enough to move to and attack, the sourdough attacks an object, with preference for an object smaller than itself. Once the starter goes berserk, it continues to do so until it is destroyed or regains all its hit points.
Aversion of Fire. If the starter takes fire damage, it begins to bake and therefore has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks until the end of its next turn.
Immutable Form. The sourdough is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form.
Flour/Water Absorption. Whenever the starter gains access to a container of water or flour is is able to regain 1d8 hit points and grows a little larger.
Magic Resistance. The sourdough has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Magic Weapons. The starter's weapon attacks are magical.
Sticky. The sourdough's texture makes people and objects stick to it. Whenever a melee attack is made against the dough the attacker must make a DC 15 STR check to not lose the weapon.
Multiattack. The golem makes two slam attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage. Players must make a DC 15 DEX or STR saving throw to avoid getting stuck inside the dough.
Description
Some ill magic has awakened the culture of yeast forming a sourdough starter at the bakery, cursing it with sentience (kind of). The confused and angry creature, just alive enough to feel the pain of existence but lacking more complex thought, is lashing out at anything and everything. It is slow moving but very large, and the enchantment that brought it to life has ensured it a certain amount of protection from spells. The Awakened Sourdough is a large, sticky mound of unbaked dough whose only feature is a gaping, yeasty maw.
