Innate Spellcasting. The Ustilagor's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 12). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components.
3/day each: cause fear, charm person
Multiattack. The Ustilagor makes one attack with its claws and uses Divert Intellect.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (2d4 + 1) slashing damage.
Divert Intellect. The Ustilagor targets one creature it can sense within 10 feet of it that has a brain. The target must succeed on a DC 12 Intelligence saving throw against this magic or take 5 (1d10) psychic damage. Also on a failure, the target has disadvantage on Intelligence saving throws for 1 round or if the Ustilagor is incapacitated.
Description
The larval stage of the development of intellect devourers, ustilagors closely resemble their adults forms. Their brains take up most of their bodies, with only a thin crusty covering to protect it, set on bestial legs and a small docile tendril protruding from its temporal lobe. This creature uses its psionic abilities to attempt to hinder its targets mental state for long enough for them to fall victim to either an adult intellect devourer or one of their mind flayer masters.
